A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you inquire.

What the catalog shows, what to ask, and what needs confirming.

Can I purchase or hire a costume?

The collection presents sample concepts for purchase and hire inquiries. The owner must confirm whether an actual item is offered for either option, along with its price and arrangements.

How do I ask about availability?

Use the inquiry link on a costume detail page. Include the dates you need, your purchase or hire preference and any sizing questions. Availability requires a separate confirmation.

Are these authentic vintage garments?

No claim of authentic vintage stock is made here. These are vintage-inspired design concepts with illustrative images. Any age or provenance of a real garment needs supporting information.

How should I provide my measurements?

State your units and send the measurements relevant to the garment, such as chest or bust, waist, hips, shoulder width and sleeve length. See Care & Hire for guidance. Compare with actual garment measurements before agreeing.

Are accessories included?

Only pieces specifically confirmed by the owner should be treated as included. Hats, shoes, collars and props visible in an illustration are not proof of what will be supplied.

Can alterations be requested?

You can describe an alteration in your inquiry. Whether it is possible, and any cost or restrictions, must be confirmed. Alterations are not an included service by default.

How should costumes be cleaned?

Ask for instructions for the actual garment. Fabric, lining, trims and construction can require different care. Do not assume that an item can be washed, steamed or dry-cleaned.

Does an inquiry reserve an item?

No. Sending an inquiry does not reserve an item, create an order or confirm a hire. Any agreement and pricing must be confirmed separately.
